DOA

Hujan tak berhenti dari semalam. Tanda Allah merahmati hari, insyaAllah.

Terkadang,  kita rasa kita kecik sangat kan,  nak minta tolong ngan Allah. Rasa malu,  rasa tak layak nak dapat pertolongan pun.

Tapi tu lah Allah. Dia tak suka kalau kita diam je. Dia suka kita meminta minta kat Dia.

Siapa aku Dia nak perkenankan macam-macam.. ' Doa ni la yang paling last Allah makbulkan sebab dia tak yakin dengan Allah.

Begitu juga kalau kita minta nak masuk syurga firdaus. Memang kita rasa tak layak. Sungguh tak layak.

Tanya Tn Hj, dahtu, kalau kamu rasa tak layak nak masuk syurga, siapa yang layak? syurga tu Allah ciptakan untuk siapa?

Manusia.

Maka, kenapa kita rasa kita tak layak,  sedangkan Allah dah layakkan diri kita masuk syurga dah!

Nauzubillah.

The Wisdom of Women's Oppression - Part 1

I just feel like sharing on some stuffs my non-muslim friends often asked me. Frequent questions from those who never practices Islam in their life, and always got wrong facts from the wrong sources. Yes, the media.

*** Disclaimer : I TOTALLY not blaming the non-Muslims who are not against Islam teachings and Muslims.

I'm going to split the topics into three parts. For today, the part is about :

HIJAB

Hijab is from Arabic which means barrier or protection. In Islamic concept, it is wider than that.

Often people understands that hijab brings the meaning of a woman who should dress up with loosy clothes, wearing scarf and veil, fully black, face covered, et cetera. Which in contra, the world misunderstands her as a terrorist or an extremist.

Other than that, Islam haters also spread rumours where hijab symbolizes women's inferior position in Islam and their sexual segregation, based on Surah An-Nur, Chapter 24, verse 31; they say. In fact, the men were asked  to control themselves first before the women!

"Say to the believing MEN that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that will make for greater purity for them; and Allah is well acquainted with all that they do''
[An-Nur; 24:30]

and there goes the next verse of the Chapter in Quran;

"And say to the believing WOMEN that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husband's sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons or their sisters' sons or their women or the slaves whom their right hands possess or male servants free of physical needs or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers ! Turn ye all together towards Allah that ye may attain bliss.
[An-Nur; 24:31]

Why Allah obliges us to do so?

1.  When women cover up their bodies; they are telling the strangers [men] that they know their boundaries and they are NOT a toy

Logically; have you ever seen woman in hijab being a model for any products; other than Muslimah clothing's products?

2.  Hijab is a role model of morality, modesty and well behaved.

This to protect women's honour and dignity. How come you say being uncovered is a part of modernization; as there is only one type of moving creatures who do not cover up; ANIMALS. If you say so, that means animals are way ahead modern than us.

3.  By being cover up, it indirectly prevent suicidal among women who always thinking of their imperfect bodies.

I remembered when i was seventeen, my Biology teacher shared to us about bulimia and anorexia nervosa; the Barbie's disease. The reason is, these diseases often occurred to the women. They want to 'look like' Barbie; slim body, white skin, long legs, long hair, with tall height.

Look how the world fantasizes the women. They feed us with beautiful photoshopped models with beautiful make ups, that turns women upside down to have same appearances with the models.

From an article I read before, the tendency to suicide occurs more to teenage girls as they suffer depression and anxiety more due to their 'no-boobies-and-booties' body.[Read the article below] So, by wearing loosy clothes and veil, this let the women to not thinking much of how they will look like in front of the community, and be more confidence to associate with the others.

Every single thing that Allah obliges us to do sure have lots of reasons hidden. After all, He's the Creator; and who else know more about the creatures other than the Creator?

The Wisdom Of Women's Oppression - Part 2

i was just tired crocheting non stop these few days. thinking of my so-long-not-update blog, i decided to continue writing the second part of The Wisdom of Women's Oppression.

POLYGAMY
[Plural Marriages]

  • "how can you say your religion protects you women, yet you all can be married with the same guy? which part of justice for you?"
  • "don't you ladies feel oppressed by sharing one husband?"
  • "How come Muhammad was a great man, even he needed more than one woman to release his sexual lust?"

some of tough questions i got before. i believe even we muslims still not yet know more in this topic. as we feel comfortable enough with our status as a muslim, so we just accept all of the stories our teachers and preachers told us before. I was one of them too. thanks to my friends, made me realize to dig more about Islam, not just swallow everything without knowing the reasons.

well, the first thing, it is true. In Islam, it's legal for Muslim men to have plural marriage [polygamy]. BUT not more than 4 women. This doesnt mean Muslim women have no rights at all to say no to their husbands.

“...Marry of the women that please you, two, three or four, BUT IF YOU FEAR THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DEAL JUSTLY WITH THEM,  THEN ONLY ONE.” [An-Nisa; 4:3]

Noted that polygamy is NOT a must.
Well, to be frank, through history it's not Muhammad pbuh who started the polygamy. it's not only Islam religion which practices polygamy. The story began earlier and more than that. Muhammad then came to show  us the right way to do so.

What are the wisdom of polygamy in Islam though?

There are three situations that makes this sort of marriage legal.

1. In the situation where the number of women are more than men.

2. In the situation of war; where typically men were killed more than women.

3. In the situation where man can provide financial, emotional and physical support and commitment EQUALLY to another.

However,  if the husband cannot give the woman a child due to his health problem, the woman has her right to seek for a divorce and marry another man. But if it's vice versa, for man to fulfill his desire , he is allowed to marry again without divorcing his current wife, so the current wife still have someone to lean on, and get protection.

And, if the wife doesnt agree with her husband to marry again, SHE HAS HER RIGHT TO SAY NO.

To say that we are opressed by sharing a husband,  for me it's nothing better than a husband that has only one wife, but has another women that we dont even know they ever exist at the wife's back. At least,  by marriage everything he does with that 'another women' is legal, and he doesnt hide the fact from us.

Am I wrong?

But i myself prefer to NOT giving permission for my so-called husband to marry again, unless I die first. Haha.

I will explain more about Muhammad pbuh next time,  insyaAllah. It's kinda long story.  :)

May Allah bless you and me, who gives us chance to understand Islam more, who open our hearts and minds to think and start searching the blurry truth.

InsyaAllah.  :)

Innalillah Buat Diri

Aidil Adha 1436H.

Kemalangan kren jatuh.
Rempuhan di Mina.
Budak 10 tahun maut kemalangan.
Imam solat meninggal dalam tahiyat akhir.

refleksi. ku ukur tahap iman pada diri.
setinggi manakah?

zahirnya seperti sudah bersedia. batinnya?
Tidak !

baru saja fikirkan hutang solat yang masih tertunggak,
sudah ku doa panjangkan umur untuk beribadat.
lagi fikir jasa kepada agama, lagi terasa tak layak.

mata masih fokus pada kaca TV.
akal sudah terbang ke mana, tapi
ditelan hadam tiap-tiap yang terjadi

wahai !
tidak Allah ambil nyawa hambaNya selagi tak sampai masa!
usah bermimpi mati mulia andai amal tak seberapa!
apa harga syurga Allah semurah itukah?

pahit liur ditelan sendiri. payah.

diri,
husnul khatimah tidaklah bila kau kata; "aku nak mati syahid!"
sedangkan kau masih hanyut dalam lagha dunia

tak percaya?

celik saja mata, kau capai telefon.
facebook. whatsapp. telegram. instagram.
belum lagi masuk twitter , tumblr, vine, keek
alhamdulillah untuk Tuhan mana?

4:30 pagi.
niat awal mahu tahajud.
45 minit sudah hilang untuk telefon.
15 minit di bilik air.
5:30am baru lah terngadah capai telekung.

diri,
sedari awal hari sudah kau siakan, apa lagi berkat yang Tuhan nak datangkan?

diri,
kau hakikatnya sudah pun mati
sejak kau angkat Tuhan dari hati.

Katakanlah [Muhammad SAW], "Sesungguhnya solatku, ibadatku, hidupku dan  matiku hanyalah untuk Allah, Tuhan seluruh alam'." - Al An'am, 6:162
